    George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces: Series 3

    May 2014: Standby for a brand new series of Amazing Spaces presented by loveable Geordie architect, George Clarke. This series features more secret hideaways, space-saving retreats and reconditioned vehicles, celebrating the extraordinary world of small spaces and unique builds. We’ve tweaked our music score to incorporate a new segment to the show, with George crossing the atlantic to check-out unique builds in the USA, our soundtrack has taken on a distinct flavour of Americana. George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces returns to Channel 4 later this month.

    The Dentists

    April 2014:  A visit to the dentist is the nation’s number one fear. We’ve just written the music for an hour-long observational doc following the staff and patients at the University Dental Hospital in Manchester, delving into the intimate relationship between patients and staff. The programme reveals extraordinary stories from some of the 90,000 people who come through the hospital’s waiting rooms every year. The Dentists was produced by KEO Films and will be shown on ITV1 this June.

    March 2014: Ultraviolet have teamed up with our friends at Felt Music to compose a track for the new Harpic White & Shine TV commercial. The ad was directed by Stuart Elliot and produced by Park Village for Havas Worldwide.

    Extreme Breakfast with Max Canyon

    February 2014: We’ve just composed the music for three breakfast cereal ads for Shreddies, Cheerios and Shredded Wheat. The campaign is a Bear Grylls-style survival show parody featuring Max Canyon – Extreme Breakfast expert. All three ads were directed by Jonathan Hopkins for McCann London and are due for transmission from mid-Feb. Click on the pic for a quick teaser.

    Burberry Menswear AW14

    January 2014: Ultraviolet have just finished editing the music for Burberry’s Menswear show at London Fashion Week. The tracks used for the Autumn/Winter collection were Clare Maguire’s ‘Lilac Wine’, The Night VI’s ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’, Paloma Faith’s acoustic version of ‘Just Be’ and the finale track was ‘The Magic Position’ by Patrick Wolf. We await next month’s womenswear show with bated breath!

    Win It Cook It!

    December 2013: We’ve been commissioned to compose the music for a brand new food quiz show called, Win It, Cook It! Hosted by Sunday Brunch presenter, Simon Rimmer, each episode pits two teams against each other in a contest where answering questions correctly wins prized ingredients. Wrong answers result in the teams having to create a dish using undesirable ingredients. The team to create the most appetising dish wins the contest. The show is produced by Plum Pictures for Hat Trick TV and is due to air on Channel 4 next year, in 30 half hour episodes.

    Wella TrendVision 2014

    September 2013: Ultraviolet have composed a track for Wella’s Trendvision 2014 promo. Combining sound design with music, we used recorded samples of lights and switches to create a sparkling rhythm track. TrendVision will be broadcast online exclusively by Wella on 1st November.     July 2013: Retail expert, Mary Portas is turning her entrepreneurial talents to a new market – a recruitment agency for the over 65s. In a new factual series due to be broadcast later in the year, Mary aims to make use of the wealth of skills and experience of OAPs, helping them back into work. The series is produced by Plum Pictures and Ultraviolet are currently composing title music and beds for the show.
