    November 2010: Thirty years ago men were resourceful, practical and dependable but not anymore, according to James May. Most men have lost the once-familiar skills of building things, making things and mending things. With James at the helm it’s time for man to become useful and resourceful again… Each week, James sets an example to his team of men by facing a test of courage and skill that would be more at home in an action movie. Ultraviolet provide original music for the series which will be broadcast on BBC2.

    E Numbers: An Edible Adventure

    August 2010: Food writer Stefan Gates presents a three-part series uncovering the truth about those notorious food additives, E numbers. The show sets out to banish the myths and stereotypes surrounding the additives in our favourite foods and looks at how e-numbers have had both a negative and positive impact on the way we eat. E Numbers is produced by Plum Pictures (Hattrick Productions) and currently being aired on BBC2, with original music by Ultraviolet.

    July 2010: Darren Gough looks back at some of the best moments in one-day cricket over the past 30 years.     Marchioness: A Survivor’s Story

    On 20th August 1989, The Marchioness departed from Charing Cross Pier. Twenty minutes later it was hit by an enormous dredger, the Bowbelle and sank within seconds. Of the 130 people on board, 51 died. Jonathan Phang is a television presenter and renowned fashion agent, but throughout his successful career he has lived with a terrible burden – he organised the party on the Marchioness. Twenty years on, Jonathan reconnects with other survivors of the disaster, to conquer his feelings of guilt. This moving one hour documentary will be shown on BBC1 to mark the 20th anniversary of the tragedy. Ultraviolet provide the haunting soundtrack.

    Following the success of series one, BBC2 have recently commissioned a second series of Mary Queen of Shops, featuring title music composed by Ultraviolet. This six-part series stars Mary Portas, who shares the knowledge she gained from years at the leading edge of fashion retailing, giving us the ultimate insider’s guide as to how to get the most out of shops and shopping. Each week, Mary takes on a struggling fashion boutique and attempts to turn their businesses around.

    Kitchen Nightmares

    Ultraviolet have been commissioned to re-compose the incidental music for the forthcoming series of Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares for international transmissions of the show. This BAFTA Award winning and Emmy nominated programme (Best Features Programme and Best non-scripted Entertainment) featuring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay debuted on Channel 4 in 2004. In each episode, Ramsay visits a failing restaurant and tries his best to turn business around in just one week. Oh yeah… and he likes swearing a lot too.

    James May’s Toy Stories

    James May goes on a mission to reconnect today’s youth with some of Britain’s best loved toys of yesteryear. In an effort to get kids to put down their games consoles, May introduces a new generation to the pleasures, frustrations and ultimate sense of accomplishment found in Plasticine, Lego, Airfix, Meccano and model railways. Each toy is explored in a group project on a giant, often surreal scale, designed to unite family members of all ages and reawaken the big kid in all of us.

    Gordon Ramsay Cooks Christmas

    Optomen Television have produced a special seasonal DVD of Gordon Ramsay showing us how to cook the perfect Christmas lunch. Ultraviolet produced the musical accompaniment for this one-off disc, which will be distributed free with The Times newspaper.
