• The Great UFO Conspiracy

    MARCH 2015: The Ultraviolet boys are currently writing the music for a new Channel 4 documentary about UFOs and aliens. More people in the UK believe in the existence of aliens than in God, and over a quarter of us think that evidence of UFOs has been covered up by the government. Writer and comedian Dan Schreiber talks to the people behind modern-day alien conspiracy theories. The Great UFO Conspiracy is due to air later this month.

    Burberry Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2015 show

    FEBRUARY 2015: London Fashion Week – we were delighted to be involved in the music for the recent Burberry Womenswear show at Kensington Gardens, working with the London Contemporary Voices and British singer/songwriter, Clare Maguire. Ultraviolet helped produce the impressive 75-piece gospel choir for a unique fashion show finale – a barn storming rendition of George Harrison’s My Sweet Lord. Check it: Burberry AW15 Finale

  • Anita’s Life With Water

    JANUARY 2015: Ultraviolet recently provided the soundtrack for a short film entitled ‘Anita’s Life With Water’. Funded by Stella Artois in partnership with www.water.org, the film highlights the lengths many people across the world go to in order to access clean drinking water. Anita’s Life With Water is one in a series of films forming part of the ‘Buy A Lady A Drink’ campaign. Click on the pic to see the film. Our soundtrack is called ‘After All You Said’.     Freddie Flintoff: Lord Of The Fries

    December 2014: Following their intrepid cycling exploits along the Trans Amazonian Highway, former England cricket captain Freddie Flintoff and his pal, Rob Penn embark on an unusual summer adventure - touring the nation in their very own, eco-friendly, bright green, mobile fish and chip shop! Along the way, the boys take in all the Great British outdoors has to offer, from salmon fishing in the Scottish Highlands to Britain’s most picturesque motorway services! Flintoff: Lord Of The Fries is a 6-part series on Sky 1. Ultraviolet are currently composing music for the show, which is due for transmission in Spring 2015.

    ICR Road Movie – Creative Ecology

    November 2014: We’ve just composed the soundtrack for a one hour film commissioned by the European Union, exploring creative arts collaborations in Britain and France.   • Loitering With Intent

    October 2014: We’re happy to announce Ultraviolet have two tracks included on the soundtrack for the forthcoming US feature film, Loitering With Intent. Directed by Adam Rapp, the film stars Sam Rockwell and Marisa Tomei and is due for release in the UK early next year. Loitering With Intent was recently premiered at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.

    September 2014: We’ve been tinkering with our theme tune to bring you a new title track for the Amazing Spaces spin-off series – Shed of The Year. Prepare to be dazzled by designer style and glorious eccentricity in a truly unique collection of Britain’s best garden sheds. George Clarke presides over this year’s competition with a new 3-part series due to air later this month on Channel 4.

    In The Red Room – Shaun Escoffery

    August 2014: Ultraviolet’s very own Gil Cang has released a new album with the wonderful Shaun Escoffery entitled, ‘In The Red Room’. Released on Dome Records this week, the album features the single, ‘Nature’s Call’, which currently sits at No.2 in the iTunes R&B chart and has been playlisted on BBC Radio 2.

    Vodafone Firsts

    July 2014:  We’ve just finished composing the music for a heart-warming, short film about eight young Ghanaian footballers. Directed by BAFTA-winning documentary maker Ben Anthony, the film follows a group of boys from their village, as they travel to England for the first time to play in a football tournament. No prizes for guessing who wins! This was a special project for us, giving us a unique opportunity to work with some fantastic musicians. Click the picture for a preview.

The one-hour documentary also features rarely-seen archive footage, reliving great moments in World Cup history. We are proud to say that we recorded the title track for the show’s intro.
